Greetings to you, my brothers and sisters at the Shackle Island church of Christ in Christ Jesus name.Amen.
Report of our three (3) days Bible Seminar/Evangelism campaigns at Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong between Thursday to Saturday January 12-14, 2023 on the theme ” PLANNING THE GROWTH OF THE CHURCH” with keynote on the following topics:
* DRAWING A GROWTH PLAN FOR THE CHURCH.
* UNDERSTANDING THE NEEDS OF THE CHURCH.
* CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH
* SALVATION IN CHRIST.
* GROWING THE CHURCH WITH YOUR LIFESTYLE.
The three days Gospel campaigns feature the following:
* Door to door Evangelism
* Follow-up on erring brethren and prospects.
* Open Air Evangelism (Preaching at market place and village square for two nights).
* Indoor Bible Lecture.
* Prayers and songs of praises to God.
* Health education on Eyes by an optometrist.
* Health education on use of drugs by a Pharmacist.
* Free Medical check and drug adminstration, Eye test/ Glasses.
* Free meals and accommodation.
ATTENDANCE/EFFECTS:
The 3 days Bible Seminar/Evangelism has a total of 397 participants, drawn from 44 local congregations of the Lord’s church and non members of the church.
5 of the newly baptized were from the neighboring community who accepted the Gospel during our door to door Evangelism and was baptized, they have been directed to worship with the Church of Christ meeting at Edem Idim village while 3 others were from Ikot Odiong village who were formally members of the Denominational churches.
EFFECTS:
* Eight (8) Souls Obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ. Each of the newly baptized and some prospects received a Bible, Baptismal Certificate and Hymnals.
* Two erring brothers repent of their sins and restored to the faith.
* The Saints was edified during the indoor Bible Lecture etc.
* 165 Sick people Received eye glasses/ medications
* 88 people undergo test on Malaria, Blood pressure, Blood sugar and received medication.
* Many prospects through our Preaching and our generosity through Free health program. Lord willing will come to the knowledge of Christ.
It was a hectic week long activities for me, the Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong and the Ukanafun WBS Evangelism Team who led the Evangelism campaigns. My wife Ekaette and church women cook all the food and serve same.
